The common thread of this anniversary is the words dignity and complexity.

XXX SICP Congress
From 16 to 18 November 2023, the XXX SICP National Congress was held, as usual in Riccione. An anniversary and also an important milestone that gathered a large audience with an ever-increasing participation, a program full of contributions and ideas dedicated to the many themes that revolve around palliative care, in which our Foundation also participated.
The protection of dignity emerges as a central element
An element that is the beating heart of a modern and humanitarian approach to care. This premise was not adopted by chance: the word “dignity” was carefully chosen and placed at the center of the title, in an intentional connection and union with a second equally significant term, “complexity”. In this formulation, the union of dignity and complexity aims to summarize the intricate and subtle vastness of such a delicate topic as that of palliative care.
Thus, in this context of so much participation and involvement, palliative care becomes not only a topic of in-depth study, but also a shared human experience, a collective journey that embraces dignity in all its facets, tackling complexity with a competent awareness in building a bridge between medicine and humanity.
